Shirley M. Schepp age 88 died on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Randolph. She was born on February 2, 1924 in Columbus to Arthur and Maurine (Mohr) Zahn. Shirley was a 1941 graduate of the Columbus High School. She attended Carroll College in Waukesha. Shirley was married to Daniel G. Schepp Jr. on September 8, 1946 in Columbus. She was a nursing assistant for the Columbus Community Hospital and Dr. Frederick. She was a formerly employed at the JC Penney store in Columbus. Shirley was a member of both St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church and Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Kristin (Dean) Erdmann of Lancaster and Kaylen (Bill) Betzig of Columbus; one son, Gregg (Patricia) of Columbus; five grandchildren, Megan (Christopher) Leadholm, Aaron (Melissa) Schepp, Keven (Nadia) Schepp, Karre’ Betzig, Dane Schepp; three great grandchildren, Bailey and Lainey Schepp, Everett Leadholm; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dan in 1995. A memorial service was held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the funeral home. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday. Inurnment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Columbus Community Hospital Foundation or John C. Brossard VFW Post #2219.
