Obituary

Agnes A. "Aggie" Ladwig passed away on Monday April 6th at Home Again Assisted Living in Columbus surrounded by her family.  Aggie was born on July 1, 1937 to Rodney and Mary (Klaila) Teeter.  Aggie was a 1955 graduate of Poynette High School and went on to earn her teaching degree from Columbia County Normal Teacher's College in Columbus.  Aggie married Delano "Del" Ladwig on April 18, 1958 and together raised three children.  Aggie taught third and fourth grade at Fall River Schools for 34 years until her retirement in 1999.  During that time, she earned her Master's in Education from UW Whitewater at the age of 46.  Aggie was a member of the Columbus United Methodist Church.

When asked any advice she had to give about living life, Aggie shared the following words: "Be kind, make every day meaningful, family and friends, look at the glass half full not half empty, be thankful for what you have, help someone in need…"  If you knew Aggie, she lived her life holding all of this true, with a quick, spirited wit to go along with.  Aggie had so many interests from education, sports, travel, spending time with friends and family, finding great deals and volunteering.  Aggie loved children and caring for others, which continued until her last breath.  When you have a spirit and love as strong as what Aggie shared with those she loved, it's hard to put into words just how much she will be missed. To her, family was everything.
Survivors include her two sons Gerald "Jerry" (Susie Crawford) of Willard and Michael (Mindy) of Rio; her daughter Michelle Lange of Columbus; eight grandchildren Lindsey Ladwig (Eli Turner), Jacob (Laura) Ladwig, Shauna (Dan) Lambrecht, Dan (Nicole) Ladwig, Hanna (Ben) Herland, Darren Ladwig (Desirae Schuh), Matthew (Brooke) Lange, Dalton (fiancée Brigid Rem) Lange; fourteen great grandchildren Payton, Lukas, Liliana, Nevaeh, Zaylyn, Ryker, Reece, Mackenzie, Madeline, Abigail, Kaiden, Anna, Grace, Gavin; one sister Denise Durney of Wyocena; five sisters-in-law June Williams of Colorado, Denise Ladwig of Columbus, Beverlee (Rich) Mallon of Oshkosh, Bev Hilbert of Columbus, Ruth Ladwig of Beaver Dam; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Elmer and Evelyn Ladwig; her husband Delano "Del" Ladwig in 1981; her two brothers Fred "Kay" Teeter and Robert Teeter; her four sisters-in-law Alice Teeter, Priscilla Teeter, Joy Plourde, Shirley Sommerfeld; her five brothers-in-law Kenneth Ladwig, Clifford Ladwig, Loren Ladwig, Darrell Williams, Floyd Sommerfield.
