Amanda E. Gehrke, age 33, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.

Amanda was born on August 30, 1992 in Columbus to Bruce and Ann (Schilling) Gehrke. She grew up in Fall River, later moving to Rio and eventually settling in Portage. She attended schools in Randolph and Fall River and graduated from Portage High School, Class of 2013. Amanda was a volunteer at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Portage, Wisconsin.

She enjoyed music, especially Taylor Swift on Sunday drives with her mom and dad. Amanda loved watching television and playing the piano. In her earlier years, she especially enjoyed swimming, swinging on a good swing set and jumping on her trampoline.

Survivors include her parents, Bruce and Ann Gehrke of Fall River; her two sisters, Kari Gehrke of Fall River and Kim (Steve) Grebel of Burnett; her nieces, Myah and Lena; her grandmother, Helen Gehrke of Columbus and maternal grandparents Dan and Mary Schilling of Columbus; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell Gehrke and her uncle and godfather, Jeff Schilling.

The family wishes to thank the staff of REM Wisconsin who worked with Amanda for many years, as well as the doctors and nurses at Aspirus and SSM Health. A very special thanks to Mary Hooper for her devoted care over the years.

A private family service will be held. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
