Ann Helen Voelker age 57, died on Monday, August 29, 2016 of mantle cell lymphoma at her home in Sun Prairie. She was born on February 13, 1959 in Columbus the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Machovich) Voelker. Ann graduated from Columbus High School in 1977 and graduated from UW-LaCrosse in 1982 with BS degrees in Physical and Health Education. In 1995 she received her Masters in Education-Professional Development from UW-Whitewater. Ann taught for the Cambridge School district for 26 years before retiring in 2013. Ann was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was very creative and loved teaching, reading, do it yourself projects, gardening, baking, quilting and garage sales. She loved all these things, but above all, Ann loved her family and independence very much. Survivors include her four brothers Paul (Tara) of Columbus, Leonard (special friend Kathy) of Poynette, James (Pat) of Columbus and Ricky (Gina) of Beaver Dam; her sister Lynn (Gregory) Belanger of Sun Prairie; five nephews Steven (Julia Burton) Voelker, Joshua (Laura) Voelker and Michael (Janel) Voelker, Tom (Kelly) Katz and Willie (Emma) Katz; six nieces Angela (Floyd) Worth, Amy (Paul) Lanzhammer, Heidi Voelker, Jennifer Belanger, Amanda Belanger, Liz (Dan) Strum; ten great nephews and great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Mass was held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus.
