COLUMBUS—Barbara A. "Barb" Quamme age 78, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Prairie Ridge, Columbus. She was born on April 22, 1944 to Walton and Lucille (Riley) Albertson in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Barb was married to Gerald Quamme on June 4, 1966 in Wisconsin Dells and together raised two children. She was employed at Jones Plumbing & Heating in Columbus for 21 years as a purchasing manager. She was a member of the Columbus Fire Department Auxiliary and former member of the Columbus Lions Club. Barb taught catechism at St. Jerome where she was a member and enjoyed camping and fishing. She served on the Columbus City Council for 2 years. Survivors include her husband Jerry of Columbus; son Michael Quamme of Columbus; daughter Cari Wimer of Delavan; five grandchildren Devin Quamme, Amber (Ian) Joles, Alton Wimer, Alyssa Wimer, Alden Wimer and Alvin Wimer; three great grandchildren; one brother Gerald (Linda) Albertson of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother W. James Albertson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Grant Theis will officiate.
