Carole Jeanne "CJ" (Weisensel) O'Brion age 82 died on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home in Beaver Dam, WI. She was born on March 13, 1942, in Columbus, WI to Henry and Marion (Flagg) Weisensel.

Carole Jeanne was a retired custodian from Beaver Dam School District. In her younger years, CJ was best known for her baton twirling and showmanship. She won many twirling competitions before graduating high school, and taught lessons for years afterwards. Her children, and neighborhood children, enjoyed watching her twirl in the street with her students. She also enjoyed everything associated with Beaver Dam Lake and could spend hours watching the waves and ripples. In her retirement, Carole Jeanne would stop everything to attend all sporting events of family and friends. She especially enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells of dirt track racing.

Carole Jeanne was many things to many people. To her grandchildren, she was Granny, to others she was Nanny, or OG but to everyone that knew her she was a ball of energy and always late. Carole Jeanne couldn't get anywhere on time, because she wanted to live in the moment and not miss a thing. She often double and triple booked herself, so she didn't miss the little things. There are many people who were touched by her and are blessed to have known her. She was the best at losing games to children so they would want to play again, and just as good at cheating to see if the older children were paying attention.

Survivors include four daughters, one son, four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; eight grandchildren; one sister Mert (Fred) Jaeckel and a sister-in-law Janet Weisensel. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Donna and Leenar; and a brother, Jim.

Mass will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:30 A.M., at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Mike Erwin will officiate. There will be a reception immediately following the service. Inurnment will follow the reception at St. Jerome Cemetery, Columbus.
