Obituary

MARSHALL—Christine C. Hellpap age 70, passed away while surrounded by family on Monday, June 10, 2024 at SSM Health, Madison. She was born on July 30, 1953 in Hillsboro the daughter of Armin and Alieth (Linhart) Degner. She was married to Tim Hellpap on August 5, 1972 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Wonewoc and together raised four children.

Tim and Christine's life started out with many adventures. They loved going on motorcycle rides, snowmobiling, and hunting together. Along with their children, the two have also enjoyed going to the movies, taking in shows at the Fireside Theater, and finding the best supper clubs. Christine was happiest when her kids were around, being together for birthdays and holidays was always a priority for them.

Christine loved being a grandma. She always looked forward to spending time with her grandkids and watching them participate in their extra-curricular activities. She truly was their biggest fan. Spending the day shopping with her daughters and grabbing lunch was something she always looked forward to. She enjoyed watching game shows and was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, rarely missing a Badger or Packer game.

Nothing would get her more excited than beating her family in a board game or game of cards, especially her son, and she never wanted to stop playing until she had won. At the end of the day, she just simply loved being around her family, and spoiling her dog who was her best buddy and never left her side.

Christine always had the kindest heart. She did in-home daycare for for over 26 years, looking after many kids in the community, including her own grandkids. She was always so patient, she truly loved every minute of it.

Survivors include her husband, Tim of Marshall; three daughters Cynamon (Thomas) Reynolds of Marshall, Courtney (Joshua) Mickelson of Schaumburg IL, Casey (Charrod Miller) Hellpap of Edgerton; one son Anthony (Beth) Hellpap of Marshall; seven grandchildren Trent Reynolds, Kenadi Reynolds, TJ Mickelson, Olivia Mickelson, Ty Mickelson, Ellie Hellpap and Mia Hellpap; her sister Corinn Schoen of LaCrosse and her brother Bryon (Sheri) Degner of Wonewoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
