Cortney
Rataczak
d. May 2, 2021
C ortney Lynn Rataczak age 48 died on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Burlington. She was born on January 25, 1973 to Russell and Sandra Rataczak in Portage, WI. Cortney went to Columbus school through 8th grade, then Cambria-Friesland High School.
Cortney never defined herself by her occupation, she worked to live and she definitely lived. She was known for her infectious laugh and loud voice. Everywhere she went, you knew she was there. A few years after high school, Cortney moved to Florida and lived there for 12 years, she loved it there and made many friends whom she loved dearly. After returning to Wisconsin she spent some years at John Deere in Horicon, she loved that job, even though for 1 year she had to work side by side with her brother Bo..... just kidding. Everyone who knew her, knew she absolutely adored all of her siblings, including her nieces and nephew who she bragged about as if they were her own. Cortney also had a huge love for animals, especially cats, she always had one following her around nipping at her heels. Johnny may have been her favorite though, he was her "little fat boy". As "Moms only girl", those two had a very special relationship that became much closer over the years, they got on each other's nerves occasionally, but they were each others rock and biggest supporter. Cortney had so much more love to give, its not fair that she is gone too soon, but now she's with her Dad again... she missed him so much after he left this world... Fly high beautiful Angel!
Survivors include mother Sandra Rataczak of Columbus; brothers Neil Rataczak of Columbus and Barry (Bo) Rataczak of Montello; sister Kimberly Stueber of Madison; nieces and nephew, Aunts, Uncles and cousins including Tonia, Cortneys partner in crime. Special friend Michelle Fehrman of Beaver Dam. She was preceded in death by her father Russell, Grandparent's, Uncles Gerry and Wally. Aunt Sharon and her cousin Traci Rataczak. Private interment will be in St. Andrews Cemetery, Town of Buffalo. Sandra Schieble will officiate. Please share your online condolences with Cortney's family at jensenfuneralandcremation.com
