Town of Calamus/Neosho/Beaver Dam--Cyril P. Brown age 73 died on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Remembrance Home, Beaver Dam. He was born on March 4, 1941 in Laysmith to Albert and Nellie (Phelps) Brown. He was married to Mary Lou Rake on June 1, 1963 in Columbus. Cyril was employed at Monark Range in Beaver Dam and later for Enerpac in Columbus and Snoway in Hartford before retirement. He enjoyed playing guitar and was a member of The Lonesome Trio. When he was in his 20's, Cyril taught guitar lessons. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his two daughters, Jolene Brown and Jennifer (Randy) Schaver both of Beaver Dam; one son, Neil (Tasha) Brown of Columbus; three grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua and Mariah; two great grandchildren, Owen and Annleah; three sisters, Eulalia Green, Natalie Brown, Bonnie Potter; six brothers, Romney (Eileen), Delos (Lola), Garfield, Elmo, Nigel (Margie), Errol; nieces, nephews, other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou in 2006; four brothers, Ronald, Harley, Lorrie, Garrith. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M., on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Jensen funeral home in Columbus. Pastor David Dykstra of Faith Community Christian Church, Beaver Dam officiated. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
