Darleen A Jones, age 88, entered into eternal rest on August 6, 2024, at home in Columbus with her family. She was born on February 2nd, 1936 to Walter and Inez (Peters) Howe at home in Columbus, WI. Darleen was the fourth child of seven children. She was married to Lewis Dartt on April 24, 1954. They had 3 children. He was killed in an automobile accident on October 20, 1958. Darleen married Charles A. Jones on February 27, 1960. They had 2 children. She was an exceptionally loving and caring wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. Her family meant the world to her.

Darleen attended Columbus High School and afterwards she worked at Jones Plumbing & Heating. She then became a custodian in the Columbus School District for 19 ½ years. She enjoyed working with the administration, teachers and students. She retired in 1999. After she retired, she helped take care of Eddie, her special friend.

Darleen's hobbies included gardening, reading and listening to romance novels, traveling and swimming, especially with her grand kids and great grand kids. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her door was always open. Darleen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Darleen is survived by 5 daughters, Theresa (Jeff), Gail (John), Barbara (Robin), Lori, and Joleen (Brian); 8 grandchildren, April, Nicole, Robert, Danielle, Chris, Heather, Collette and Austin; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, David; a brother in-law, Tom; and a sister-in-law, Della, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Darleen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Dartt in 1958; her husband Charles A. Jones in 2023; 3 brothers, Walter, Robert and Richard; 2 sisters, Carol and Linda.

Darleen's wish is to have a private ceremony. You may make a memorial to First Presbyterian Church, Make a Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
