COLUMBUS--David L. Weisensel age 83, died on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at University Hospital, Madison. He was born on June 10, 1933 in Columbus to Elias and Gertrude (Voelker) Weisensel. David was married to Mary Lou McClurg on September 27, 1952 in Sun Prairie. He worked at Weyenberg Shoe Company, and was a school bus driver for the Dodgeland School District for 27 years. David was a skilled woodworking craftsman and enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers in his gardens. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou of Columbus; a daughter Lisa of Beaver Dam; a grandson Travis of Alexandria MN; his faithful companion Penni; friends, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Scott in 2002. Private graveside services will be held at Okeeg Cemetery, Danville.
