Debra S.
"Debbie" Durow
d. Apr 1, 2014
COLUMBUS/LYNDON STATION—Debra S. "Debbie" Durow age 55 passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at University Hospital, Madison. She was born on July 18, 1958, the oldest daughter of David and Rosemarie (Fenske) Durow, and spent her childhood in Astico, WI. Debbie graduated from Columbus High School in 1976 and was a long-time employee of the Columbus Wastewater Treatment Plant. Always independent, Debbie moved out on her own at the age of 18, but never away from the strength and support of her family. Her parents, brothers, sisters, and especially her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was always ready to laugh and have a good time when she was with her family. Although the struggles she encountered in her life sometimes clouded her days, she loved them with her whole heart and they were always with her, each and every day. Debbie enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. She had a "green thumb" whether caring for house plants or working in her garden. Survivors include her daughter, Chantelle (Justin) Kranz of Columbus; her son, Austin Loring of Baraboo; her mother, Rosemarie Durow of Columbus; three beautiful grandchildren, Kyle, Hunter and Jacey Kranz; three brothers, Dennis (Trish Doyle) of Madison, Daniel (Brandi) of Lake Mills, Joseph (Gail Mountford) of Sun Prairie; three sisters, Julie (Dariel) Diancin of Madison, Janet (Mike Caleb) Durow of Sun Prairie, Jennifer (John) Kolinski of Dane; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. "The greatest gift our parents ever gave us was each other." Debbie was preceded in death by her father, David Durow. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at ST. COLUMBKILLE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Town of Elba. Rev. Michael Erwin officiated.
