COLUMBUS—Diana R. McNicol, age 83, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on March 29, 1939 in Madison to Melvin and Hilda (Heintz) Bunn. She was married to Donald "Pierre" McNicol on May 29, 1965 and together raised five children.

Diana and Pierre were married for 57 wonderful years. Diana enjoyed her flower beds during the growing months, spending hours planting and moving flowers around their Columbus home. She also enjoyed playing Euchre with the Roche's until the wee hours of the morning, watching old classic movies, reading and spending time with family and friends. Diana was known for her hats. She has a huge collection.

Survivors include her husband Don "Pierre" McNicol of Columbus; four sons Scott (Helen) of Waterloo, Robb of DeForest, Mike of Janesville, Pat (Jessica) of Columbus; one daughter Dana (Gary) Loken of DeForest; twelve grandchildren Cori (Ben), Casey, Cody, Kayla ( Benny ), Kaitlyn, Riley, Stephanie (Don), Raena, Kaiden, Jordyn, Jayda, Jasmyn; eight great grandchildren Leirik (Caleb), Cael, Davien, Emma, Levi, Jaiden, Cason, James; a brother-in-law Duane McNicol of Lake Mills and a sister-in-law Diane McNicol (Debbie) of DeForest; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Hilda Bunn and in-laws Donald and Dorothy McNicol. A Celebration of her Life will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Columbus Country Club.
