COLUMBUS--Dolores M. "Lorry" Mayr age 93, died on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Columbia Health Care Center in Wyocena. She was born on March 23, 1925 in Pass Christian, Mississippi to William and Louise (Gardner) Laughlin. Dolores was married to Joseph Mayr Sr. on July 17, 1949 in Pass Christian, MS. She was employed at the Columbus Community Hospital and Town & Country Printers before retirement. Lorry was an avid reader, loved tending her flower gardens and putting puzzles together. Survivors include her husband Joseph Sr. of Rio: five children James (Angie) of MN, Joanne (Elmer) Hanson of Poynette, Joe Jr. (Amy) of Columbus, David of Beaver Dam, Diane Mayr of Baraboo; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters Mildred Miller, Wilma Laughlin, Geraldine Garriga, twin sister Dardnal "Chickie" Wilkes, one brother William "Kent" Laughlin and an infant sister Anna. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation, Columbus. A private memorial mass was held. Memorials may be directed to your public library in Lorry's memory.
