Doris M. Vaughan, age 101, died on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at The Legacy of DeForest in DeForest, WI. Doris was born on April 11, 1924 to Harlem and Cecilia (Hartig) Hupel in Janesville, WI.

Doris was a hairdresser for many years and later became an electrolysis in Milwaukee and Madison.  She was the family historian and wrote many cards and letters to all family members on a regular basis.  Doris and husband, Jim, loved to travel around the USA.  Doris enjoyed crafts of all types, always having home made gifts for everyone.  Doris had a wry sense of humor and loved to give everyone a hard time but all in fun.

Doris is survived by niece Kendallyn Hughes; great nephews Zack Vanselow and family, Jim Neumaier and family, Mike Neumaier and family; great nieces Monica Ederer and family, Julie Travis and family; friend Sharon (Carl) Kohl; other relatives and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Vaughan; twin sister Dorothy Lehr in 2023, niece and nephew Scherrie (2024) and Gerald (2022) Roth.

Inurnment will be in Milton Lawns Cemetery in Janesville, WI.
