FALL RIVER - Dorotha L. Jaynes, 72, passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015 at Golden Living Center - Continental Manor of Randolph from a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 20, 1943 in Columbus Grove, OH to John and Anna (Mershman) Krontz. Dorotha graduated from Columbus Grove High School in 1961. She married Ronald Jaynes on January 26, 1962 in Lima, OH where they lived for many years until Ronald's job relocated them to Wisconsin. Dorotha loved being around children of all ages. She worked at Ann Taurick's Daycare for many years and taught Sunday School at Fall River United Methodist Church where she was an active member. She was one of Fall River's biggest volleyball and basketball fans. She especially enjoyed watching all her grandchildren throughout the years. Dorotha also loved being outside working in her flower gardens, cleaning up the yard or just sitting outside visiting all the neighbors. She was known as "Grandma" by many. Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Ronald Jaynes, Sr.; three sons, Terry (Jodi) of Columbus, William (Pam) of Fall River and Ronald Jaynes, Jr. of Portage; six grandchildren, Amber (Christophe) Vrielinck, Joshua (Cassie Schroeder), Daniel (Shauna), Samantha, Timothy and Jeremy (Brittany Luepke); six great grandchildren, Lukas, Eli, Eviana, Teagan, Preston and Leslie; four sisters, Elizabeth Wells (OH), Rosemary Monroe (FL), Clara (Larry) Rayburn (OH), Wilma Schreiber (OH); one brother, Charles "Ted" (Beverly) Krontz (AR) and two sisters-in-laws, LaDean (OH) and Agnes (OH). She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, John Jr., James, Jesse; two sisters, Bonnie Hawk and Mildred Krontz and one sister-in-law, Waneta. A memorial was held at 5:00 PM with a visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of the service on Friday, October 23, 2015 at FALL RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. Pastor David Byers Dent officiated. The family would like to thank Hillside Hospice Care and Golden Living-Continental Manor for all your care given to Dorotha. She will be greatly missed!
