Dorothy J. Harris age 96, died on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at The Larson House, Columbus. She was born on August 12, 1928 in Richland Center to Cecil and Erma (Orsborne) Spry and grew up in the Brush-Hollow area in Vernon County. Dorothy graduated from nursing school to become a registered nurse. She was married to Kelly Harris on October 6, 1949 in LaFarge and together raised three daughters.

Survivors include her daughters Peggy (Tom) Spicher of Pardeeville, Vicki (Tom Post) Harris of Mt. Horeb and Linda Harris of Lake Mills; grandsons Ramsey Spicher, Bryce (Donkar) Spicher, Aaron (Krista Hanley) Geiger; great granddaughter Callie Spicher; one brother Richard (Rosella) Spry of LaFarge; nieces, nephews, other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2008; her sister Sharon Nelson and her grandson Joshua Geiger in 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M., on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the COLUMBUS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Sang Wook Park will officiate. Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Town of Stark, Vernon County.
