FALL RIVER--Douglas M. "Doug" Lee age 54, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016 as the result of a traffic accident in the Town of Leeds. He was born on June 25, 1962 in Beaver Dam to James and Betty (Kranz) Lee. Doug was a 1980 graduate of the Columbus High School. He was married to Carri Wright on February 14, 1987 in Columbus. Doug owned and operated Preferred Plumbing & Inspection in Fall River. He was a loving husband, father, and son who enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and golfing. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a very active member of his community, having served the Fall River School Board for 12 years in addition to assistant coaching. Doug was an organ donor so that others may live.
Survivors include his Wife Carri of Fall River; two sons Tyler and Hunter and one daughter Rachel; his father James (Diana) and his mother Betty (Tom) Lee-Borchert both of Columbus; a brother Thomas (Mary Kraft-Lee) of Sun Prairie; one sister Sherri (Greg VanDeventer) Rucker of Edgerton; father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and Dorothy Wright of Randolph; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A Memorial Mass was held at 7:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 3:00 P.M., on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Steve Kortendick officiated. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Farmers & Merchants Union Bank at 159 W. James Street in Columbus where a fund has been established for his children.
