Eleanor M. "Spin" O'Brien, age 100, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at the Larson House in Columbus. She was born on May 2, 1924 to Harry and Mary Spindler in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She grew up in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin and attended Adams Friendship High School. Later she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was always there for her children and extended family. And she always gained much respect for her consideration of people's accomplishments through her notes and well wishes.

Spin is survived by her children Mike, Jim, Mary (Dan), Pat (Dawn), Kevin (Rhonda), Tom (Lori); eight grandchildren and three step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband Jack; brothers Jim, Dean and Harry Spindler; daughters-in-law Pam and Kriss.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the Columbus Country Club in Columbus.

Memorials may be directed to the Larson House.
