COLUMBUS—Eleanor F. Schraufnagel, age 83, died on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at SSM-Madison. She was born on August 29, 1940 in Loganville to Russell and Florence (DeGroff) Mielke. Eleanor was a 1959 graduate of Randolph High School. She was married to Paul P. Wolf and together raised four children. The couple farmed in the rural Otsego/Rio area. She was employed at the Jack Winter Garment factory in Columbus and later at Bake n Serve in Columbus. On April 4, 1986, Eleanor was married to Alex Schraufnagel in Columbus. She retired from Scott 's Candy in Sun Prairie. Eleanor was a faithful member of the Fall River United Methodist Church where she was also a member of Sarah Circle. Throughout the years she also spent time volunteering for the hospital auxiliary.

Since retirement Eleanor cared for her mother, then began taking care of her grandsons.  More recently, she enjoyed going for drives, especially up to Amish County and areas she lived as a child.  With her son-in-law, Steve at the wheel, she loved to "tell him where to go."  Even with her failing eyesight, she was spot on with directions and roads.

Survivors include her daughter Joann (Steven) Randall of Fall River, her son George (Desiree) Wolf; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; five brothers Russell (Robin) Mielke, Raymond (Sharon) Mielke, John Mielke, Dale (Karen) Mielke, Terry Mielke, brother-in-law Dan Cross; two sisters Mary Prust and Ardis Voss; step-son Daniel (Glenna) Tamminga; two step-daughters Mary Schumann and Donna Larson; nine step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; dear friend Miriam and her beloved cat Razzle; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two sons Paul and Carl; a sister Doris Cross; brothers-in-law Armund Prust and Don Voss; two step-children Geraldine Searvogel and Ed Schraufnagel; five sisters-in-law Barb Mielke, Sandy Mielke, Peggy Mielke, Cheryl Mielke and Sharon Mielke; her former in-laws, Tony and Priscilla Wolf; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at the FALL RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH in Fall River. Rev. Sang Wook Park will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Doylestown at a later date.
