COLUMBUS--Eleanor M. Schulze, age 90, died at home on Saturday, January 4, 2025. She was born on November 5, 1934 to Arnold and Alma (Klug) Beitz in the Town of York, WI. She was married to Russell W. Schulze on June 6, 1953 in Waterloo.

Eleanor was a graduate of Columbus High School.  She was an Administrative Assistant for the Accounting Division at Oscar Mayer in Madison for 45 years before her retirement.  Also, an active member of Oscarettes, READI group, a volunteer for Second Harvest and Prairie Ridge Health in Columbus.  Eleanor also served as Clerk in the Town of Columbus and Secretary for the Rural Fire Group.  She enjoyed traveling, bowling and spending time with her family and friends.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Vicki Schulze of Columbus; son Gerald (Sue) Schulze of Fall River; grandchildren Nicholas Schulze, Kristen (Jay) Kreuziger; great grandchildren Andrew, Jenna, Harper, Lucy; sister Wilma Meixner of Deforest; other relatives and friends.

Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents; brother Harold Bietz; grand daughter in-law Aricka Schulze; brother in-law John Meixner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, Columbus with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation LLC, Columbus. Rev. Ben Zuberbier will officiate. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
