DOYLESTOWN—Genevieve I. Slattery age 83, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center due to complications following a stroke. She was born on February 9, 1931 in Bagley, WI to Ralph M. and Dorothea L. (Williams) Cass. After graduating high school she worked a number of jobs, retiring after 22 years as an employee of the State of Wisconsin. Genevieve was married to Donald P. Slattery on September 24, 1983 in Doylestown, WI, where they lived for many years. She enjoyed music and loved dancing with "her Donald". Genevieve was a kind and loving soul, always considering the needs of others. Survivors include her sister, Bonnie (Frederic) Schunke of Sun Prairie; a brother, John (Caralyn) Meng of Prairie du Chien; a sister-in-law, Alice Cass Heinz of Dubuque, IA; nieces, nephews, other family members all dear to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald in 2014; three sisters, Betty Ann Blessin, Eva Woodward and Merlene Vincent; one brother, Ralph Cass. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M., on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, Doylestown. Rev. Steve Kortendick officiated. Interment was in St. Patrick Cemetery, Doylestown. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Church or the Sun Prairie Health Care Center.
