Gerald E. "Jerry" Holtz age 59 died on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at his home. He was born on September 29, 1955 in Mauston to Floyd and Ruth (Steffen) Holtz. Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Mauston High School. He was married to Kathrine "Casey" White on September 20, 1986 in LaCrosse. He was the meat manager at the Pick n' Save store in Columbus for 20 years. Jerry will be remembered for his positive and upbeat outlook on life and his contagious laugh. He was an avid Packer and Elvis fan. Jerry enjoyed golfing and pleasing his family and friends with his famous pulled pork sandwiches. He loved his daughters and grandson. Survivors include his wife, Casey of Columbus; two daughters, Cassandra (Anthony) Owens of Beaver Dam and Amelia Ruth Holtz (Payton Archambault) of Columbus; a grandson, Jordan Owens; one sister, Judy Holtz of Mableton GA; four brothers, David (Dorothy) of LaCrosse, Herb (Chris) of Tomah, Steve of Mosinee and Dan (Sarah) of Lindenhurst IL; a sister-in-law, Mary Holtz; his mother-in-law, Nancy White of LaCrosse; other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron. A memorial celebration was held from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Jodee O's in Columbus.
