Gerald V. "Jerry" Miller, age 65, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at his home in Fall River, WI. He was born on February 27, 1951 in Columbus, WI to Victor and Doris (Fierke) Miller. He attended Zion Lutheran Grade School in Columbus and graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills. He was married to Judy Yerges from 1974 to 1990. Jerry worked at Columbus Products (now Enerpac) for more than 35 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing euchre, and cherished the time he spent with his one-year-old grandson. Jerry was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Columbus. He is survived by two daughters, Lisa of Madison and Michelle (Chris Smith) of Middleton; a grandson, Finley Michael Smith; his mother Doris Gabbard of Chicago Ridge IL; brothers, Richard (Linda) of Tinley Park, IL and Ronald (Nancy) of New Lenox IL; a special aunt, Norma Witthuhn of Columbus; aunt and uncle, Geraldine and Marvin Fierke of Juneau; three nieces and one nephew; and other near relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Miller, and beloved aunt and uncle, Aleda and Melvin Schliewe. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M., on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH in Columbus. Rev. Robert Moberg will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Columbus.
