Gerald J. "Gerry" Sallmann, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Gerry was married to Karolina Blendl on March 17, 2001 in Hartland. He had a long and successful career in law enforcement with his last position as Chief of Police in Columbus, WI where he was a former member of the Columbus Masonic Lodge #75.

Gerry leaves behind his wife Karolina Sallmann and her son Anton During; his three children Cari (Jim) Racine of Waterford, Sean (Michelle) Sallmann of Waupun, Jeremy Sallmann of Ixonia; his five grandchildren Maddi Racine, Kyle Racine, Chloe Racine, Miranda Sallmann and Jeremy During; step granddaughter Cassandra During; two sisters Donna Evert of Delafield, Judy (Ken) Spencer of Delafield; four brothers John (Diane) Sallmann of Waukesha, Rick Sallmann of Madison; Mark (Lori) Sallmann of Waukesha, David (Lesa) Sallmann of Waukesha; sisters-in-law Anita Blendl, Janet Sallmann; many nieces and nephews; his former wife Bonnie Sallmann; former sister-in-law Linda Sallmann; other relatives and friends.

Gerry is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Rita Sallmann; his brothers Ronald and James; sister JoAnn; nephew Adam Sallmann; stepson Manfred and brother-in-law Anton.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at SAVANNA OAKS 100 Savanna Rd., Fall River. A private family service will be held.
