Geraldine J. "Gerry" Davenport, age 77, died at her home on Thursday, May 7, 2026 in Sun Prairie. She was born on December 16, 1948 to Walter and Jeanette (Schell) Corcoran in Madison, WI. She graduated from Waunakee High School in 1967 and then attended Stout State University. She was married to Fred Davenport on March 22, 2013. Gerry worked at Demco Inc for 37 years in the shipping department. She loved feeding birds, squirrels, and playing with her cats. In her free time, you could often find her reading a thriller novel. She was a wonderful wife.

Gerry is survived by her husband Fred Davenport of Sun Prairie; three brothers Tom (Mick) Corcoran of Waunakee, Bill (Kathy) Veerhusen of Fredonia; Kevin Corcoran of Fitchberg; other relatives and friends.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Daniel Veerhusen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, May 18, 2026 at New Testament Baptist Church, Columbus. Pastor Chris Blevins will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Westport, WI.
