Howard R. "Peewee" McCauley age 75 died on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his home. He was born on July 18, 1949 in Columbus to Clinton and Mildred (Neuman) McCauley. He attended the Columbus High School, then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany for some time. After his discharge, he took over the family gas station in Fall River. Peewee was employed as a truck driver at Mid-State Corp. for 8 years, then for many years at G. G. Barnett retiring in 2011. He was married to Brenda Herrick on December 10, 1990 in Portage. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and antique snowmobiles.

Survivors include his wife Brenda of Columbus; two daughters Brenda (Mark) Weihert of New Ulm MN and Tina (Chris) Miller of Columbus; two step-sons Eric (Dawn) Langfeldt of Sturgeon Bay and Tony Langfeldt of Columbus; grandson Colby Miller and granddaughters Ashley (Kris) Kuschel, Amber (Andy) Henn; five great grandchildren Weston, Abigail, Patrick and twins Dylan and Evelyn; two sisters Delores Kasmiski of Columbus and Marg Mann of Beaver Dam; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Teddy Haefner, sister Mary Nadolski; brothers-in-law Charlie Mann and LaValle Kasmiski; nephew Larry Haefner and great niece Tonya Ziegler; his beloved dog, Toby.

A visitation will be held from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday the 13 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation LLC, Columbus. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery with full military honors.
