Joan C. Link age 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at UW Hospital, Madison, as a result of complications of an automobile accident on November 23. She was born on January 3, 1933 in Rio to Walter and Clara (Knudson) Jurgerson. Joan was a 1950 graduate of Rio High School. She was married to Robert "Bob" Link on December 16, 1950 in Columbus. Joan enjoyed her investment club, collecting antiques, searching garage sales, and lutefisk dinners. She loved the time spent with her children. Survivors include two sons, Robert (Mary) of Columbus and Rex (Marian) of Cottage Grove; three daughters, Rae Marie (William) Dougan of Columbus, Vicki (Scott) Erickson of West Bend and Cindy Link (Don Budwitis) of Columbus; a son-in-law, John O. Hanson of Beaver Dam; nine grandchildren, John (Andrea) Link, Jamie (Jon) Klein, Tom (Kim) Link, Erik Link, Kate Link, Andrew Dougan, Nikki (Josh) Stiers, Emily Hanson, Ben Erickson; five great grandchildren, Jordan, Brady and Tyler Link, Lauder Klein, Bella Rae Stiers; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1990; a daughter, Jody Hanson; a brother, Wallace Jurgerson; a sister, Donna Mae Jurgerson. Funeral services were held at 12:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at ST. STEPHEN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Fall River. Rev. James Bolda officiated. Interment was in St. Jerome Cemetery, Columbus. Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen's Ev. Lutheran Church, Bonnet Prairie Ev. Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army.
