Brock
d. Sep 5, 2021
COLUMBUS/OXFORD—Joanne Rae Brock, age 73, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 with her family by her side at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She was born on July 22, 1948 to Liemuel and Mildred (Carnes) McKinnon in Muskegon, MI. She was married to Floyd Brock on June 18, 1966 in Ferry, MI.
Joanne worked at Petersen Elementary school as a teacher's aide for 15-20 years as needed. She had a beautiful heart and a kindness that was felt by anyone she had contact with. Her greatest joys were working with young people and doing things for other people. She enjoyed garage sales, buying things for other people - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren - her flowers, and birds. Her prayers were that her family would all be together to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus when He comes. She will be missed greatly by her family and by the many lives that she touched.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd of Oxford; her children Jeff (Christine) Brock of Randolph, Greg Brock of Columbus, Dawn (Kevin) Mortimer of Oxford, Michelle (David) Grady of Columbus; 12 grandchildren Aaron Cole, Colton Brock, Hunter (Kaitlyn) Brock, Marie (Derek) Bohner, Forrest (Katie) Brock, Kaity (Roland) Baun, Clayton Brock, Tristan Gentry, Skyler (Skyler) Britt, Gage Mortimer, Gatlin Mortimer, Riley Grady; 4 great grandchildren Juniper, Greyson, David, Amelia; 3 siblings Joyce (Dan) Grey of Shelby, MI, Ray (Kim) McKinnon of Sand Lake, MI, Joan (Mike) Wambaugh of Hart, MI; 3 sisters-in-law Sylvia Brock (Jim) of Manistique, MI, Kathy (Dan) Spicer of Rockford, MI and Marlo McKinnon of Whitehall, MI; 1 brother-in-law Norm Wood of Escanaba, MI
