Obituary

FALL RIVER—Jolene K. Gill age 64, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022 at UW Hospital, Madison.

She was born on September 12, 1957 in Darlington to Gerald and Helen (Fenner) Olson. She was married to Bill Gill on June 19, 1976 in Belmont.

Jolene was employed at Suby, Von Haden & Associates in Madison as an administrative assistant for many years. She was past officer and president of Volunteers of Prairie Ridge Health, Columbus.

Jolene was a loving wife, mother, grandma and friend. She selflessly cared for everyone in her life and made fast friends with strangers who she greeted with a smile and kind words. She was always a great hostess and could use her charm to get a bargain at a flea market. She loved country music, mysteries, the 70s station on the radio and looked forward to Christmas songs after thanksgiving.

Her unmatched strength overcame odds and hardship to witness the birth of grandchildren and dance at weddings. Her greatest motivation was to see happy faces on those she loved. She balanced her giving nature and kindness with a hilarious sassy attitude and somewhat intimidating little fist filled with chunky rings on her fingers.

Her grace and beauty, like the lilac blossoms in her garden, filled her world with color so lovely just the memory makes their absence bearable. She taught many lessons from perspective drawing, cooking, patience, but maybe the greatest was the power of hope and love.

Survivors include her husband, Bill of Fall River; two sons Dugan Gill (Hannah Lucas) of Lake Mills and Ethan (Michele) Gill of Tontitown AR; one daughter Devin (Justin) Scott of Fall River; three granddaughters Kayah and Lilly Gill and Nevaeh Gruning; her mother Helen (JR) Rhodes of Belmont: a sister Julyn Panicola of Cary IL; two brothers Jay (Julie) Olson of Dodgeville and Jason Olson (Jennie Willing) of Wisconsin; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.

A celebration to honor Jolene's life will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 375 Fox Trail, Fall River. Please share your online condolences with Jolene's family at jensenfuneralandcremation.com.
