Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jon M. Coughlin, a devoted father and a man who took great pride in nurturing both his family and his thriving business.  Jon peacefully departed this world surrounded by family members, leaving a legacy of love, hard work and dedication.

He was born in Manitowoc, WI and spent the majority of his life in Columbus, WI. His greatest joy in life was being a father, as he poured his heart and soul into encouraging his children's dreams and aspirations. Beyond his professional success, Jon was a kind hearted soul with an infectious smile and a warm welcoming spirit.  He enjoyed spending weekends outdoors, catching up with the kids, and grilling for anyone that could join.

Jon is survived by his three sons Noah, Sam, and Carter; his daughter Lauren; parents Rod and Ramona; five siblings Cindy (Pete) Uvaas, Patrick (Lisa), Jeff (Joan), Mark (Sherry), Kim (Chris) Archambault, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M., on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Columbus.  Jon would love for friends to gather for a luncheon immediately following the Mass to share a story, and remember all the wonderful times they shared.  In Jon's honor, memorials can be made to the Columbus Football Organization, who he passionately supported with time coaching and maintaining the football field for many years.

Mark and Sherry would like to thank Cindy and Pete Uvaas, Kim Archambault, Jeff and Joan Coughlin, his sons Noah (Ellie), Sam (Jenasea), Amy Coughlin, nephews Eric and Chris Coughlin for helping care for Jon.  Along with the numerous friends who stopped by to see Jon during his illness. Those visits meant a lot to Jon.  A special note to Dr. Sam Poser, whose professional care and friendship to Jon is an exemplary example of how doctors should care for people. Thank you so much.

Jon will be deeply missed, but forever remembered as a loving father, a caring friend, enthusiastic coach, and a driven entrepreneur.  In times of trouble Jon was a steadfast pillar of strength for his family and friends.  He leaves behind a sense of hope that there is always someone in your life that wants nothing but the best for you.

May he rest in eternal peace.
