FALL RIVER—Julia E. "Babs" Schraufnagel, age 96, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at The Meadows Assisted Living in Fall River. She was born on July 10, 1926 in Saskatchewan, Canada to Ervin and Doris (Godfrey) Schafer. She was married to Harold Schraufnagel on May 1, 1947 in Columbus and together raised five children. Julia enjoyed gardening, reading and playing the organ by ear.

Julia is survived by her children Grant (Kathy) Schraufnagel of Columbus, Terry (Susan) Schraufnagel of Fall River, David (Donna) Schraufnagel of Columbus, Susan (Charles) Scott, of Westfield, Donald Schraufnagel of Randolph; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother Mervin (Nancy) Schafer of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Julia is preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; brother Sheldon Schafer; sister Dolores Pahl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:30 A.M., on Friday, October 28, 2022 at JENSEN FUNERAL & CREMATION, Columbus.
