Kenneth "Ken"
Seibel
Apr 30, 1958 — Apr 13, 2024
Kenneth J. "Ken" Seibel, age 65, died at his home in Beaver Dam, WI on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Ken was born on April 30, 1958, to Harold and Nancy (Dykstra) Seibel at George Air Force Base, CA. He moved across the country with his family while his dad served our country. His first sister was also born in CA, both of his brothers were born in Kansas, and his youngest sister was born in Virginia. Eventually, Ken found his home on the west side of Chicago, in Des Plaines IL. Ken worked maintaining plastic injection molding machines for over 40 years for various companies. In his free time Ken enjoyed getting out on the water and fishing. He loved to take his camper to a small park and enjoyed being outside, taking in all the sites nature had to offer. He also loved to bow and gun hunt for turkey and deer. Ken is survived by his daughter Samantha Cebulski; granddaughter Charlotte "Charlie" Cebulski, brothers Terry Seibel of Columbus, Rick (Lynn) Seibel of Beaver Dam; sisters Gail (Erwin) VanBuren of Waupun, Tonya (Sean) Horner of Juneau; a special Aunt Cheryl (Orin) Pendelton, whom he called for a talk nearly every day; his beloved cat "Bumper" who was with him for 16 years, more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-
nieces and great-nephews, a great-great niece, other relatives and friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents; nephew Christopher VanBuren in 2009. Ken was blessed to find recovery from alcohol on August 28, 2007, on his dad's birthday. He found a wonderful second family in his AA group, First Step, in Des Plaines, IL. The folks in that group became family while so many helped him thru his more than 16 years of sobriety. Ken moved to Columbus, WI late in his working career to be near his own family, when he found a third family in his AA group at the Beaver Dam Alano Club. He then had support from his IL crew as well as a great crew in Beaver Dam. He was always visiting with someone on the phone. In the past several years, he also found the Blandine House in Fond du lac, WI, where he worked a few days a month, allowing him to share his story of recovery and encourage others to find and maintain sobriety as well. Ken's family is so proud of his recovery and are very appreciative of all of the AA folks he met over the years, as they always supported Ken in SO many ways. Ken told us many times
that his AA crews meant the world to him A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 18, at Brayton Park (Old Mill Race) in Fall River, WI from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery.
A special thank you to the staff at Bayshore Apartments, Beaver Dam, and Hillside Hospice in Beaver Dam, especially Brenda S., Rita, Shayla, Jena, Deb, and Brenda E. for their compassion while taking great care of Ken.
