Kevin P.
Mcnulty
Nov 28, 1958 — Apr 16, 2026
Columbus
Kevin P. McNulty, age 67, died on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Meriter Hospital, Madison with family by his side. He was born on November 28, 1958 to Robert and Evelyn (Derr) McNulty in Columbus.
Kevin spent most of his elementary school years in New London, WI. The family returned to Columbus in 1970 and Kevin attended St. Jerome's School and then Columbus High School. Kevin and his wife Lori both graduated from Columbus High in 1977. Kevin also earned an Associate Degree in civil engineering from MATC. Kevin and Lori were re-acquainted at their 20-year class reunion in 1997 and married on May 15, 1999. Kevin retired from the City of Middleton in 2014.
Kevin enjoyed many hobbies, including boating on the Wolf River at their condo in Winneconne and at his family cottage. He was fondly known in Winneconne as "Condo Kev". Kevin also spent several years trap shooting with his friends at Columbus Sportsmen's Club and North Bristol Gun Club. He obtained his FFL and collected rifles and trap guns. Kevin enjoyed motorcycling and restoring motorcycles with his friend, Bruce Brandt. Kevin was a car nut and collected several different cars and trucks over the years; most recently an old Mustang convertible that he treasured over the last weeks of his life. Everyone joked about his recent love for that old car over his newer vehicles. Kevin was known as a man of few words, but would surprise his friends and family with occasional corny outbursts or crazy dance moves. He will be deeply missed by his two furry sons, Goober and Eddie.
Kevin is survived by his wife Lori McNulty of Columbus; mother Evelyn McNulty of Columbus; brother Michael (Tracy) McNulty of Columbus; two sisters Sheila (Phillip) Worthen of Columbus, Kara (Dennis) Inabnet of Green Bay; two brothers-in-law David Rieck, Peter (Chris) Rieck; three sisters-in-law Suzy Bowditch, Julie (Brian) Gay, Leslie Rice; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father Robert; parents-in-law Jerold and Solveig Rieck; uncle Patrick McNulty in 2025; two brothers in law Barry Rieck and Greg Rice.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Jensen Funeral & Cremation, Columbus. A burial service will follow the visitation at Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the Columbus Country Club.
