FALL RIVER—Kristin R. Schumann age 37, died on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the At Home Again Assisted Living in Rio. She was born on August 30, 1976 to Terry and Ruth Kohlwey. Kristin graduated with high honors from the Rio High School in 1995 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from UW Green Bay with a major in business management and minor in computer science in 2000. Kristin sang in a rock band where she met Eric Schumann. They were married on June 17, 2000 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pardeeville, where she was a member. She created banners for the church for a number of years. She was employed at Kohl's department store at the Madison East Springs location as a customer service and jewelry supervisor for a number of years. Later, she worked at Anchor Bank as a teller until 2012. Kristin enjoyed singing, sewing, making greeting cards and knitting. Survivors include her husband Eric of Fall River; father, Terry Kohlwey of Rio; a sister, Kimberly (Jeff) Scott of Rio; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother. A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. ST. JOHN'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Pardeeville. Rev. William Runke officiated. Inurnment was in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at the Jensen funeral home in Columbus, and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Ev. Lutheran School.
