WISCONSIN DELLS--Lauriene E. Schwark age 92, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Sauk County Health Care in Reedsburg. She was born in Columbus to Jefferson and Frieda (Eggert) Smith. Lauriene was married to Edward Schwark on February 7, 1945 in Columbus and had six children. The family moved to Wisconsin Dells from Columbus in 1949 where they raised horses. Lauriene was a hard-working mother who enjoyed being outdoors, who loved all kinds of animals and flowers and often helped others in need. In her spare time, Lauriene enjoyed painting, ceramics and taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters Linda (Darrell) Hinze of Reedsburg, Diane (Darrell) Leischer of Reedsburg, Terry Schwark of Reedsburg, Patricia Schwark (Vern) of Wisconsin Dells and Janet Halcarz of Waunakee; one son James (Tammy) of Wisconsin Dells; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Jensen funeral home in Columbus. Rev. Ruth Bradshaw will officiated. Interment was in the Fall River Cemetery, Fall River.
