Leo M. Dynes, age 82, died on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at UW Health, Madison. Leo was born on January 14, 1942 to Richard and Lavern (Lutz) Dynes in Columbus, WI. He was married to Dolores Rostad on October 1, 1966. They had three children.

They lived in Columbus all their lives. He had an amazing life.

Some of his many experiences were hunting, not just deer hunting but also pheasant in South Dakota and stag in Scotland. They were one of his best memories. He also was a dirt track car racer. Leo loved his pets, dog and cats alike. He was also a diesel mechanic for FS in Fall River and later for Penske in Madison. Leo was involved with Wings Over Wisconsin for over 40 years. One of the things he most looked forward to was spaghetti night. He loves the country and the most important part of his life was his family, his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and especially his new great granddaughter.

Leo is survived by his daughter Shawn (James) Boaz of Portage; sons Shane (Qing Peng) Dynes of Sun Prairie, William Dynes of Mauston; four grandchildren Jessica (Alex) Weber, Sasha Dynes, Alex Dynes, Grace (Tayvon) Hayes; one great granddaughter Sadie Hayes; brother David Dynes; sister Edith Tiedt; other relatives and friends. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; wife "Blondie" in 2021; nephew Randy Tiedt in 2016; sister-in-law Patty Dynes in 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2024 with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. at Olivet U.C.C. in Columbus, WI. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
