FALL RIVER/MADISON--Lois Kathryn Lane age 104, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. Lois was born to Mark and Jennie (Montague) Lane in Minnesota and lived in both Montana and North Dakota as a child. Her family moved to Fall River when she was in fifth grade. She graduated from Fall River High School in 1933 as class Salutatorian. She attended and graduated from Madison Business College. She worked for the State Employment Service and Teacher Placement. In 1947 she applied and got the position as Secretary to the Dean of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin. She worked there 30 years until her retirement. She is survived by her niece Kathleen Lipka & husband Luther & their three children and families. Lois was preceded in death by her mother Jennie Lane and her sister Corinne Christian and many other friends and relatives. A private burial service will be held at St. Jerome Cemetery, Columbus.
