Maria T. Rubio age 74, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Columbus Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 30, 1939 in Monclova, Coahuila Mexico to Alfredo and Rita Espinoza. Maria was married to Fortunato Rubio on February 11, 1959. She was a long-time resident of Columbus where she raised her family and worked for a variety of businesses. Maria was a loving wife and a wonderful mother. She was a loving grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was devoted to them. Survivors include her husband, Fortunato of Columbus; three daughters, Rosa (Miguel) Serrato of Columbus, Maria (Mike) Krueger of Wisconsin Rapids, Margaret Rubio of Madison; four sons, John F. Rubio of Madison, Martin Rubio of Kaukauna, Mario Rubio of Corinth TX, Fortunato (Victoria) Rubio Jr. of Camp Lejeune NC; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service was held at 1:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Rev.
