Martha L.
Buchholz
Jul 3, 1943 — Jun 18, 2025
Fall River
Martha L. Buchholz, age 81, died on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at The Meadows in Fall River. She was born on July 3, 1943 to Demont and Mae (Hyatt) Arnold in Decatur, Il.
Martha graduated from high school and became a dental assistant for a few years. During these years she enjoyed being an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Melody Chapter #150, located in Middleton, Wisconsin. She found her true calling and became a respiratory therapist. Martha worked at Hillside Hospital in Beaver Dam for many years until retirement. She also found time to serve our country in the Army National Guard Reserves. Martha enjoyed working on the road providing home oxygen services. Being a licensed respiratory therapist meant everything to Martha. She enjoyed her job and made many friends along the way. Harry and Martha were seasonal campers for many years. They loved the outdoors and Martha loved to support Harry and the crew with hunting and fishing. Harry was the love of her life and he cherished her until death in 2018. After retirement she maintained her licensing in respiratory therapy. When covid hit she was ready to help anyway she could and let everybody know.
Martha is survived by her three children Robert (Jaclynn) Buchholz; Randall (Tami) Buchholz; Mitchell (Stacey) Braskamp; eight grandchildren Aaron, Alex, Bobbie Jo, Victoria, Hunter, Makayla, Samantha, Mitchell, Elizabeth; six great grandchildren Vivienne, Berkleigh, Owen, Klay, Aurelius, Thaddeus.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry; infant son Karl.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday June 25 at 2:00 P.M. at Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. A celebration of life will follow from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Randy's house.
