REESEVILLE—Mary A. Zeidler age 69, died on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Randolph. She was born on June 14, 1945 in Columbus to John and Helen (Neuman) Boomsma. Mary worked for nearly fifteen years for Feil's Catering as a site manager for Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed the many seniors who came to lunch. After retirement, she stayed in touch with many of them. She enjoyed reading, baking and crocheting with the 'Happy Hookers' group each week. Mary loved spending time on the deck at their home on River Oaks Road as much as she could. She treasured the times spent with Don watching the many birds at their feeders as each day came to an end. Mary's greatest joys in her life were her children and grandchildren. Many happy times were spent together. Survivors include her loving partner for many years, Don Westover of Reeseville; her loving mother, Helen Boomsma of Rio; a son, Terry (Jenny) Zeidler of Rio; a daughter, Sheila Zeidler of Columbus; two grandsons, Zach and Ben Zeidler of Rio; two granddaughters, Haley Trumble of Madison and Chloe' Trumble of Columbus; former husband, Fred Zeidler; a stepdaughter, Boni Westover of Madison; a stepson, Dan (Shelby) Westover of Deerfield; three step-grandchildren, Maria Westover of Madison, Kayla and Cameron Westover of Deerfield; six sisters and best friends, Judy (Jerry) Bunkoske of Beaver Dam, Nancy Larson (Dick), Sandy (Glen) Luther, Janet (Lee) Hollander, Jeanne (Brian) Kearney and Cheri Linde all of Rio; one brother, Tom Boomsma of Rio; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and special nephew, Jason Luther.
Visitation was from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Jensen funeral home. A private family celebration of Mary's life was held. Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Community Hospital. When I'm on my journey, don't you weep for me. Every little river has to run into the sea. So please, don't weep after me.
