Michael "Mike"
Bennett
Jul 14, 1955 — Apr 9, 2024
Michael "Mike" Allen Bennett, age 68, of Fall River, Wisconsin was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 after his battle of Esophageal Cancer. Michael was the son of Orin Charles and Jean Elizabeth (Carr) Bennett on July 14, 1955. It was his honor to enlist in the U.S. Army serving from 1973-1975. Through the years, Michael was truly a man of many hats and trades. Highlights of these include: some summers working at Friday cannery in Cambria, WI. Egg People-delivery driver, traveling many miles over the state. Michael loved to drive, as he joked with his wife "here we are, on the road again." Lastly, as of the most recent, after retiring, he delivered Meals on Wheels for Columbia County. He enjoyed giving his time helping others. He was well-known for being the Grill Master of the family reunion. He was part of a CB club known as "Marble Kid" helping with fundraisers. Mike was an avid fisherman, always trying to out-do brother Tom and daughter Sarah by getting the biggest or the most fish. Past times include watching Packer games, and enjoying time with family. He was an active member in TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly). He was honored as the 2022 State King. Other military service being a Tank Turret (Tuna Can Man) as Michael would call it. He served in Wisconsin's National Guard. He was honored to be a part of the reforger 1986 in Germany for three weeks he spent there.
Blessed and survived by his wife, Teresa (Randall) Bennett. As of July, they would have celebrated their 35th year from their own chapel of love. Blessed with three children Brian (Erin Loker) Bennett and Becky Bennett of Beaver Dam, WI and Sarah Bennett of Fall River, WI, he was truly amazed and proud of each of them. His heart was filled with joy sharing time with four awesome grandsons Keller and Miles Bennett, Wyatt and Emery Horton;
brother Thomas Bennett; special aunts Lois and MaryLou; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many other relatives and friends from both sides. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother Dan; in-laws Daniel and Shirley Randall; grandsons Maxwell Bennett and Noah Horton, plus many relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Michael.
