Michael Thomas "Mike" Lange, age 58, died on Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home in Columbus. He was born on April 12, 1965 to John and Carol (Kuehl) Lange in Columbus, WI. He was married to Michelle Ladwig and together raised two sons.

Mike graduated from Columbus High School in 1983. A few years following, he began a successful career in industrial sales up until his retirement in 2020. Throughout his years, Mike took pride in coaching or watching his two sons in all their sports, bouncing between the many practices and games happening nearly every day. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, walking the trails of Astico Park, fishing at Danville Dam and being active within the local Odd Fellows organization. After retirement, Mike often mentioned how he began "living a simple life," filled with walks around town, watching old Western movies or Packer and Badger games. He also enjoyed visiting with his granddaughter and would often speak of her and share photos with his family and friends.

Mike will be remembered as a loving father, family man, coach, colleague, and great friend to many. He was a man with a heart of gold and one who would be willing to give the shirt off his back. He was a child at heart. Anyone that crossed paths with him would leave the room with a smile on their face, probably due to his witty comments (even if it was wildly inappropriate). He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his two sons Matt (Brooke) Lange of Cottage Grove and Dalton (Brigid Rem) Lange of La Crosse; one granddaughter Gracie; two sisters Teresa (Brad) Donner of Columbus and Connie (Mike) Williams of Deerfield; two brothers Jeffry (Geniene) Lange of Rio and Randy (Kim) Lange of Reeseville; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Columbus Country Club. Inurnment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
