Patricia M. "Pat" Powers, age 73, died on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 10, 1941 in Beaver Dam to Elmer and Violet (Jacobsen) Keip. Pat was a 1959 graduate of Randolph High School. She was married to John H. Powers on September 21, 1963 in Beaver Dam. Pat was formerly employed at Kraft Foods in Beaver Dam and Andler's Garage in Columbus. Her love of reading was a perfect fit for her many years as a librarian at the Columbus Public Library. Pat was active in homemaker's clubs, Columbus Fireman's Auxiliary and served on the Hillside Cemetery board of directors. Pat was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Columbus. Survivors include her son Brian (Donnette Weiterman) Powers of Randolph; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; Brandon (Erin Robertson) Patrick and their daughter Emery, Amber Caswell and her daughter Natalie, Nicole (Mark) Roberts and their children Matthew and Abigail, Cynthia Powers and Zachary Powers, one brother Bill (Marla) Keip of Madison and their daughters Kara and Marcie; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John on September 27, 2014. Funeral services were held at 12:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Robert Wilke officiated. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Public Library or Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.
