Patricia A. "Pat" Showers age 96, died on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Home Again Assisted Living in Columbus. She was born on February 8, 1929 in Columbus to Harold and Letitia "Babe" (Chadwick) Freidel. Pat was raised on a farm in the Town of York where she attended a one-room country school. She graduated from Columbus High School in 1947. Pat was married to Marcel "Slim" Showers on September 4, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall and were blessed with four children. She was an active member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and it's Altar Society. Pat was employed for the Columbus Public School District in food service. She was a volunteer at Prairie Ridge Health, Columbus. In her free time, Pat enjoyed crocheting, reading, walking, playing Bridge, but most of all she loved the time spent with her family. Pat was so very thankful that her daughter Lori lived with her and took good care of her, as well as her son Terry and wife Rita who supported her in that care.

Survivors include her son, Terry (Rita) Showers of Columbus; her daughter, Lori Showers of Columbus; grandchildren Traci (fiance' Tim Blake) Shadduck of Appleton, Troy (Chelsea) Showers of Columbus, Sarah (Jarett) Hewitt of Pewaukee, Michelle Smith of Beaver Dam, Katie (Nate) Poukey of LaCrosse, Christine Rasmussen of Oregon, Kimberly (Maurice) Johnson of Minneapolis, MN; great grandchildren Evan & Sophie Shadduck, Grace, Ben, & Elsie Hewitt, Alaynah & William Smith, Daxton & Cecelia Poukey, Talen and Palmer Showers, Micah Moore and Harlie Johnson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband "Slim" in 2007; daughter Nancy Rasmussen; son Steven Showers; sisters Joan Freidel and Beatrice Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law Milton and Kathryn Showers; brother-in-law Cecil Smith and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Milton Jr. and Myrtle Showers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M., on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus. Rev. Jim Leeser will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
