Rickey L. "Rick" Rahn, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at The Meadows of Fall River Assisted Living after his long battle with Parkinson's disease for which -as hard as it was-could always give a smile. Rick was born to Clarence and Mary (Waterworth) Rahn on December 9, 1952 in Columbus. Rick graduated from Columbus High School in 1971, after which he enlisted in the National Guard. Following his service time, he was employed by various manufacturing companies in the Columbus area. He retired from Robbins Manufacturing in Fall River.

Rick enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years and later, in softball leagues for many years after high school. He also enjoyed his years of coaching softball. Rick was an avid fan of all sports both as a participant and spectator and especially loved watching football. Rick always left you smiling after a conversation and you know when you were done talking to him, he genuinely gave you all of his attention. He was a gentle, loving and caring man that will be missed by all.

Rick is survived by his son Craig (Jennifer) Schultz of Columbus; brother Russell (Betty) Rahn of Columbus; cousin Mary Jane Weidemann; god daughter Brandi Weidemann Taylor; second Cousin Tori (Lori) Weidemann; friends Bev Hilbert, Diana Werth, Cathy Wohlfeil; other relatives and friends. Rick is preceded in death by his parents.

A private burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Columbus.
