Ronald F. Curtis, age 75, passed away on May 16, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1949 to Floyd and Marie (Averkamp) Curtis in LaCrosse, WI.

Ron, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, served in Thailand and Vietnam. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin Platteville.  Ron worked his entire career for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, first as an Enforcement Specialist and then later as a Public Drinking Water Specialist.

Ron loved the outdoors, including hunting, running, bicycling, going for long walks, and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, whether it was laughter over good food, a lively card game, a family get-together, attending a grandson's sporting event or cheering for his old softball team.

Ron is survived by his wife Sandy Curtis of Columbus; two daughters Cathrine (Matt) Wunderlich of Oregon, WI, Jessica Curtis of Virgina Beach, VA; four grandsons Chase Wunderlich, Mason Wunderlich, Colton Wunderlich, Kalin Curtis; three siblings Janet Line, Barb (Don) Biddick, Alice (Mike) Daddario; five step-siblings Barb (Ken) Thompson, Mike Winkler, Dan (Danielle) Winkler, Emily (Dave) Pitzen, Vince Winkler; former wife Sharon (Simpler) Curtis; many dear In-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; step mother Gloria Curtis; seven siblings Gregory Curtis, Carol Curtis, Judy Sorenson, Tom Curtis, Eileen Kraemer, Dave Curtis, Diane Noble; two step-siblings Joe Winkler and Sue Thole.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Columbus Country Club.
