Ronald L. "Ron" Guenther, age 71, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Ron was born on March 17, 1953 the 5th child of Earl and Leora Guenther. He was a 1971 graduate of Columbus High School. After high school, he went on to earn a degree in Computer System Analysis and Design. Following graduation from Madison College, he entered the Marine Corp. where he helped develop data systems for the Corp.. Ron retired after 5 years of service with the rank of Captain.

In October of 1977, he was married to the love of his life, Wanda, in Virgina and returned to the farm where he operated a dairy farm as well as raised a family. After retiring from milking, he worked for MidState for 20 plus years.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of 47 years as well as his two sons, Jason (Karissa) and Adam (Mackenzie). Additionally, 4 grandsons; Blake, Evan, Keagan and Jaxson, of whom he was really proud. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Columbus United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with the Memorial Service and military honors to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Columbus United Methodist Church improvement fund.
