When Rose reunited with her high school sweetheart, Chub Martin, they were joined in marriage. Rose joined him in Columbus Wi where they enjoyed local sports and many friends and colleagues of Chub's from Martin Auto Supply. They also shared, 25 years of blissful seasons up north at their beloved cabin in God's Country, where there was plenty of fishing and lots of good times and food with friends & family pontooning on the Teal River.

Rose was very enthusiastically committed to raising her children in the Chicago suburbs, engaging them in memorable holiday celebrations, summer camps, Little League, Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts and countless birthday parties. Her hobbies included her love of gardening, singing, sewing and drives with Chub.

Rose was also a very dedicated and celebrated interpreter for the Chicago Catholic Deaf Community, National Registry for the Deaf, St. Mary's Parish in Riverside, Il, and Depaul University in Chicago. She received an Honorary Law Degree for passing through the system twice with deaf law students and countless medical visits with deaf clients.
