Russell "Russ" Hundley age 94, died on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Larson House in Columbus. He was born on October 1, 1923 in Columbus to William and Bertha (Schleif) Hundley. Russ was married to Laura Tiedt on May 12, 1949 in Columbus. Most of their married life, the couple farmed in the Columbus area. After retirement they moved to Beaver Dam where Russ enjoyed tending his vegetable garden, playing cards and fishing. He loved attending his grandson's baseball games and watching the Brewers. Russ was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus. Survivors include his wife Laura of Columbus; a daughter Barb (Ferd) Grebe of Columbus; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; a sister Carol Peck of Madison; a daughter-in-law Susan Sullivan of Sheboygan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son William; brothers Theron, James and E. David and sisters Helen McLean and Rachel Ott. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., on Friday, February 23, 2018 at ZION EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Columbus. Rev. Tim Schwartz officiated. Interment was in Hillside Cemetery, Columbus. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
